Analysis of edge detection algorithms based on gradient and aggregation operators. Part 2. Thresholding and mathematical morphology

摘要

Gradient and aggregation methods of digital image edge detection are considered in this paper. It is conjectured that statistical evaluation of these algorithms are not objective quality indicators. It is proposed to use threshold processing and methods of mathematical morphology for comprehensive analysis of edge detection algorithms.
